The scriptures tell us to “come boldly to the Throne of Grace” and this is a story of one such case. However, this case is not moot court where they practice law at law school but the court of Heaven.  Here’s the scenario: I have caught the thief (Satan) stealing from me and I demand that he repay me what he owes me but he refuses. So, like any modern day American, I take him to court. However, this is no ordinary court. It is the Heavenly court of God and Jesus, the Great Judge, is presiding. I am accusing the devil of stealing from me and am asking that the Heavenly court make him repay me 7 times what he has stolen. I quote from Pr. 6:30,31 - Men do not despise a thief, if he steals to satisfy his body when he is hungry; but if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house. (As a side bar here, are we required to repay God 7 fold when we steal from him by not tithing? Mal. 3:8 says, “Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, wherein have we robbed thee? In your tithes and offerings”). You decide.

Now, back to the trial: When I bring my charge against the devil of stealing from me, the “Great Judge” asks him to give an account of himself. But the devil brings out a long list of my sins, claiming that this justifies his actions. Then, when I am asked about these sins, I say, “I plead the blood of Jesus” and quote Mal. 3:10 and say that I am a tither and have tither’s rights. Then I quote Mal. 3:11 - And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts (Armies). I then rest my case.

Judge Jesus looks in the Heavenly record books and discovers that I, indeed, have tithed plus I have given offerings in addition. After reviewing the evidence He then finds in my favor and orders Satan to pay me 7 times what he has stolen plus court costs, (the loser always pays court costs) and gives him 30 days to perform. The Great Judge then says, “case closed” and pounds His gavel on the bench. The devourer has been rebuked.

The moral of this story is this: If you will stay alert and catch the devil when he steals from you and take him to the Heavenly court you will then make him too afraid to do it again. It will cost him too much. After all, Satan is the most fearful being in the Universe.

Here are some examples of how Satan may steal from you.

1. Your leave the keys in your car and “someone” steals it

2. You lose your wallet or purse and “someone” steals your credit cards

3. You loan “someone” money and they don’t pay you back

Satan’s defense may then be “you shouldn’t have left the keys in your car” or “you should have been more careful with your purse or wallet and your credit cards would not have been stolen” or “you should not have loaned money to that person”. While this may be the true, it’s still stealing and when you plead the blood of Jesus, the Great Judge will say, “my child is innocent”. and “Satan, you are guilty of stealing and you have to pay 7 fold plus courts costs”. You see, you always win when you know the Word and the Lord will always find the case in your favor.

Ps. 5:12 - For thou, Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

John 10:10 (Amplified) The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

Now you can give your tithes and offerings with full confidence, knowing that, 1)The Lord will rebuke the devourer who will have to repay you 7 times what he had stolen, 2)You have favor with God and 3)The Lord wants you to have life in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

Don't Give until it hurts.  Give until it feels good because you can't outgive God.  He originated giving.  Remember John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave---His only begotten Son that whosever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Be Blessed in Your Giving,
Glory to God,
